Frontier Partner specialization

Specialization overview and requirements

Specialization overview

The Frontier Partner specialization is the next evolution of Frontier Transformation recognition for the agentic AI era. This specialization identifies partners who can design, build, deploy, govern, and secure AI agents across the Microsoft Frontier Transformation stack—which includes Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, GitHub, and key security products.

Partners who earn this specialization gain stronger differentiation with customers, deeper visibility with Microsoft field teams, and access to a rich set of Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program benefits. Benefits include:

  • Specialization badge: Clear, customer-facing recognition that signals verified agentic AI delivery capability to buyers and Microsoft sellers.
  • Co-sell opportunity: Frontier-aligned co-sell opportunities—direct revenue potential for partners with full-stack delivery.
  • Product benefits: Agent-usage credits and Microsoft 365 E7 licenses to build, secure, test, demonstrate, and scale AI-powered solutions and agents across Microsoft’s cloud and productivity platforms.
  • Go-to-market resources: Packaged marketing campaigns, case study opportunities, Partner of the Year Award eligibility, and more.

How do I earn this specialization?

Unlike other specializations, the Frontier Partner specialization is not aligned to a specific Solutions Partner designation. You can earn the specialization by meeting the requirements outlined below.

Note: If your business model primarily focuses on enabling resellers or managing channel distribution rather than direct customer delivery, the Frontier Distributor designation is the more relevant offering.

What are the requirements?

Partners must meet the requirements in all three categories (specializations, skilling, and audit).

Skilling

Individuals earning the Frontier Transformation Engineer badge and those earning DP-600 can be the same or different people.

Audit requirements

  • Your company must pass a third-party audit. Review the Frontier Partner specialization audit checklist.
